Evil Princess Character





The 3 mood boards is inspiration for the evil princess. The first one being the characters personality/backstory, the second one is the reasoning behind as to why she turned evil and the third one is ideas for the style of the character.​

My character turns evil because of dark magic this is why I gathered references separately for this as I would like to focus on this. I have chosen 3 different colour pallettes as I am unsure as to what colours I would like to use for her. I will keep the colours dark and use a lot of black to emphasize that this character is evil. ​

For the look of my character I would like to make the gown more simplistic and focus more on big accessories.


  

These are the first sketches I did for what I want her to look like. The first image is a pose I would like her to be in for the final drawing although I may change this a bit as a lot of her will be covered. The second drawing is my initial idea for what I would like my character to look like but I will end up changing this as I feel it wouldn't match the outfit designs I have started with.  


I decided to change the final image of the character from my orthographic slightly as I did not like some parts. I decided to make her magic she is holding green like is shown in my mood boards as I feel that went the best with her purple colour and I did not want to use too much of the same colour.

These are the thumbnails for both characters. The one with the flower in her hair I tried to have a brighter colour palette and keep her hair up. The other character I wanted to look darker with messy hair and minimal expression. I chose to do this as the one with the flower in her hair has a happier and brighter personality. So I decided to make her use a lighter colour palette and a happier expression. I also chose a wide range of hair styles I went with a hair style that was up and tidy meaning she spends a lot more time on how she looks and her presentation. Ghost Character

  This is the mood board I made for this character. I wanted the colour green to be the main point for this, because in all the adaptions I have read about, there is a big point of her being green or her outfit being green.  She is also known in all these stories as a beautiful woman some say she has scars on her face and some believe she looked how she did when she died. Colour thumbnails

  This is the character I wanted to have a brighter colour palette and her hair up with a flower in her hair. The colours that the majority of people liked was the orange and pink. I would like to combine both orange and pink, therefore I showed that here and have a darker pink belt with a lighter pink top and orange skirt.  This is the character with the darker colour palette and her hair down. The majority of people liked the 4th one with a slightly lighter top.
